PEEK implantable manufacturing, Biomedical contract manufacturer

A Precision Prescription for Research Labs
and Medical Products

The evolving healthcare industry is rich with innovation and its demand for precision plastics engineering and manufacturing is greater than ever. Our experience in successfully meeting the demands of this exacting audience is why the medical and biomedical communities look to PEDI with their research, life enhancing, and life-saving products.

Just What the Doctor Ordered
The precision principles that produce some of the finest needleless valve catheter assemblies, infusion device parts, DNA trays, and surgical device parts are the same principles that allow PEDI to perform to the highest quality standards set by the Food and Drug Branch of California (FDB), which partners with the FDA, authorizes PEDI to operate under its Device Manufacturing License. The meticulous process of meeting these strict standards for precision, traceability, and quality control is not unlike any other high-expectation project we handle on a daily basis.

PEEK Expertise
PEDI has been working with PEEK (polyaryletheretherketone) material for the manufacture of implantable devices for the past 2 years. We are proud to be one of the few manufacturers in California injection molding with this material. PEEK polymer is difficult to work with due to the fact that it requires very high temperatures to mold, specialized equipment, and is very costly. We have taken steps to become a technological leader in injection molding with PEEK - from extensive on-site training with the material manufacturer to acquiring specialized equipment and hiring toolmakers with PEEK expertise.
